ROAD TO RECOVERY
Johnny Harris has played a lot of rugby over the past 25 years. A lot of rugby means a lot of bumps, bruises and waking up sore in the morning. Most of these exercise-induced complaints are no cause for concern. However, when an unusual pain appeared in Johnny’s left shoulder, coupled with a numbness in his left hand, he decided it was high-time to have it checked and booked in for a general check-up and specialist consultation at Hanoi French Hospital. The team at HFH saw a golden opportunity to document what decades of hard-hitting sport can do to a body and asked Johnny if they could grab some cameras and tag along for the day. As the driving force behind organised play in Northern Vietnam, Johnny’s passion for rugby is as strong off the pitch as it is on, meaning that he was not only a willing participant but a fantastic story-teller too.
Together with Johnny, Hanoi French Hospital has created a series of videos as he moves through the HFH system of patient-centred health-checks, imaging, scans and specialist consultations. Join us on our journey to get Johnny back on the pitch and ready for more high-octane plays with Part 1 of our series, available to watch below.
